Caddo Mills is a great place to live. If you are an outdoors person, there are a number of state parks within a 100 mile radius. However, if you are a social person, there is a lot to desire. Community connection is hard-pressed since most of Caddo Mills consists of a largely rural area. There are two school districts. Both are diversity challenged. One of the school districts, Bland, has a wonderful high school principal that is teacher and parent friendly. The other principals are teacher friendly to the point of frustration. Beyond these factors, the area is a great place to live.
